Choosing a cosmetic procedure is a personal decision, and it’s natural to have questions. Here are answers to some of the most common questions about our procedures, recovery, results, and Dr. Kahana’s approach to facial rejuvenation.
Most patients return to work and normal activities within 7–10 days. In before-and-after cases, visible improvement is often noticeable within days of the procedure, with final results settling in over the following weeks as any residual swelling resolves.
Initial swelling and bruising typically improve within 1–2 weeks, and most patients feel comfortable returning to normal activities around that time. Final results continue to refine over the following months as tissues settle.
Yes. Many patients choose to combine complementary procedures — such as blepharoplasty with a brow lift, or a facelift with a midface lift — since combining procedures in one surgical session can reduce total recovery time compared to staging them separately, and allows for a more balanced, harmonious result. Dr. Kahana will discuss which combinations make sense for your goals during your consultation.
A brow lift repositions the brow itself to correct heaviness or sagging in the upper face, while blepharoplasty addresses excess skin and fat directly on the upper or lower eyelids. Blepharoplasty specifically removes or repositions excess tissue from the eyelids to create a rejuvenated look, whereas a brow lift treats the forehead and brow position. The two are frequently performed together for a fully refreshed upper face.
